But I cannot be happier when I announce that Twilight is un-put-downable :)

This book was a part of Readers Digest Selected Editions, along with 3 other books that came as a set. I am thankful I read the abridged version, because I don't think I would have really finished the full version. No, don't get me wrong, I didn't completely hate the book but then...

This is the story of Jennifer who recently lost the love of her life because of an accident, for which she blames herself. She is shocked when she gets a call telling her that her great-grandmother had fallen and was in a coma. Jennifer is shattered at the very thought of losing Sam, her great grand mom. She leaves everything aside and rushes to Sam's beautiful house, where a bunch of numbered letters are awaiting her. As she meets up with Sam and lives in her house and aits for her recovery... she reads Sam's letters a few at a time. Through the letters, unfolds a story, she would have never known or thought about, about her grandmom. Through those letters she finds the courage to open herself to love and to life.

Somewhere I found it was similar to PS. I love You [ I have seen the movie]. Of course the story is different, but I couldn't help but compare.

Actually it is a very nice story. There are some questions that you really want answers too, and you just move through, to find the answers. Light, emotional read. But at times, I found it boring. And most of the times, I thought many of it was predictable.

So, you know I am kind of not sure, if i want to give it 3 or 2 star :)!

For being a quick read and nice story... I give it a 3 star :)

First and foremost a BIG THANK YOU to Softdrink for sending me this beautiful book. Patti Callahan Henry’s Between the Tides is an amazing story of self realization and of love.

Nature and books belong to the eyes that see them.

How True, right?

I loved this book, and it is one book that I don’t want to let go and give off to someone else.

The best thing I loved about this book is that each chapter starts with a famous saying such as the above and they are all so true and beautiful.

Though it was a little predictable for me, but I loved the way the story was told, revealing bit by bit just like unraveling a secret kept for years, just like arousing the feelings suppressed for years; just like finding those tears, that had dried years before.

Patti Callahan Henry has beautifully sketched the place where she wanted her main protagonist to live, and you can see its beauty through the words that bring it to life.

This is the story of a women who believed that she had done a big sin when she was a young little girl and lived with the guilt of it till her father, her mentor dies and asks her 3 simple questions through a letter he gives to his trusted friend and student. She on the journey of answering these questions goes back to the place where she belonged and finds out about things that she had never known.

I hope you guys read this book :)

First of all thanks a lot to the author Eva Etzioni-Halevy for sending me this lovely book. I have previously read and reviewed The Triumph of Deborah and loved it, so was looking forward to this one. And yes, I liked it too, maybe not as much as The Triumph of Deborah but loved it nevertheless.

The story of Ruth is well known for all who have read the Bible and I am not one of them.
The story starts with a young beautiful Israelite girl, Osnath traveling to Bethlehem to meet her extended family. Osnath has the ability to read and write, which is a rare quality possessed by women in those times. She is educated by her mother, who herself is a scribe and also by her father. She loves reading and writing scrolls and to her amazement finds a scroll room in there neighbors house. This is where she accidentally stumbles upon a few of Ruth's poems which depict her life. Another scroll adds to the mystery about Ruth's life which Osnath is determined to unravel. She is undeterred by the stiff objections from Ruth's descendants. Osnath knows that there is a secret that Eliab, Ruth's great grandson is trying to protect and she wants to know it and write about it too. Osnath gets help from her uncle Prophet Smauel and bit by bit uncovers the truth. In her journey to find the truth, she falls in love with Eliab's youngest brother David, who is destined to be the King. She later realizes her true love and fights for him just as Ruth fought for hers.

This story shows women of strength who fought for there causes among there own kin and others. It is a beautifully written work and an amazing story! Eva has done a beautiful job of showcasing the strength of women in times when there choices were very limited. This book is highly recommended.

For anyone who loves YA, Twilight kind of series; this book is for you.
I would love to read the next book in the seiies too :)
